Is the result really permanent?+
Yes. Belkyra causes the physical destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat again. However, maintaining a stable weight is recommended to prevent remaining cells from expanding.
How much swelling will I experience?+
Swelling is the most common side effect and indicates the product is working. You may experience a 'bullfrog' look for 3-7 days post-treatment. We recommend scheduling around social events.
How many treatments do I need?+
Most patients require 2 to 4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart to achieve their desired profile. Dr. Jiang's team will create a tailored plan during your consultation.
Is the injection painful?+
You may feel a warm stinging or burning sensation as the medication enters the fat. We use ice packs and topical numbing to manage this discomfort effectively.
Am I a good candidate?+
Ideal candidates are adults with moderate-to-severe fat below the chin who have good skin elasticity. It is not a treatment for loose skin (turkey neck).
