The device monitors and controls tissue temperature, and settings can be adjusted if you feel discomfort, so tell the clinician straight away if anything feels too hot. According to BTL, the internal treatment takes about 8 minutes. External treatment adds time if it is part of your plan. Allow about 30 minutes for the visit in total, including private check-in and preparation. Your first visit also includes the consultation, so plan a little extra time.

It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with active infection in the treatment area. A pacemaker or metal implants in or near the area, and conditions that affect healing, also matter. Unexplained bleeding, pain or discharge should be checked by your physician first.
