Different formulations suit different areas, such as the cheeks, lips, chin and fine lines. Your physician chooses the product and depth for each area. Results are visible immediately and typically last 9 to 18 months, depending on the product and area.

How It Works
Hyaluronic acid fillers integrate with skin tissue, restoring lost volume and structure by attracting and retaining moisture. Cross-linking gives a smoother texture, longer-lasting results and natural movement.

Risks, side effects and who should not have fillers
Common side effects are temporary redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising. Rarely, filler can block a blood vessel (vascular occlusion), which needs urgent attention: severe pain, whitening or colour change of the skin, or vision changes after treatment mean you should contact us or seek emergency care right away. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed. Your physician will review your history and goals at consultation.

Common Questions
Do fillers hurt?+
Many fillers contain lidocaine for comfort, and numbing cream is applied beforehand, so most people find the treatment well tolerated.
How long do results last?+
Results can last from 9 to 18 months, depending on the product used and the treated area.
Which areas can fillers treat?+
Fillers can treat various areas including cheeks, lips, chin, jawline, under-eyes and fine lines.
How soon can I see results?+
Results are typically visible immediately after treatment.
Will it look natural?+
Natural-looking enhancement is the goal. Your physician plans for proportion rather than overfilling, so you look refreshed rather than 'done'.
What are the risks, and who should not have fillers?+
Common side effects are temporary redness, swelling and bruising. Rarely, filler can block a blood vessel, which needs urgent attention; hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Fillers are not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over active infection, or with a known allergy to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine.
Can I wear makeup after the procedure?+
It is recommended to avoid makeup for the first 24-48 hours.
Can hyaluronic acid filler be dissolved?+
Yes. Hyaluronic acid (HA) filler can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if the result needs adjusting or in the rare case of a blocked blood vessel. Your physician advises whether dissolving is appropriate. This reversibility is one reason HA is a common choice for first-time filler treatment.
How long does a filler appointment take?+
An appointment typically takes about 15 to 60 minutes, depending on how many areas are treated. It includes assessment and planning, topical numbing, the injections and a final check. Complex plans or several areas can take longer, and your physician explains what to expect at your consultation.
What should I avoid after dermal fillers?+
Avoid touching or massaging the treated area for 24 hours, and skip saunas, hot baths and strenuous exercise for 48 hours. Avoid alcohol and excessive sun or heat in the first day or two, and avoid dental work for 2 weeks. Contact your doctor if you notice severe pain, lumps or skin colour change.
How often will I need top-ups?+
It depends on the product, the area and your metabolism. Results typically last about 9 to 18 months, so many people return for maintenance at some point in that window. Softer gels in mobile areas such as the lips tend to fade sooner than firmer gels in the cheeks or chin. Your physician advises a schedule.
Should I choose dermal filler or anti-wrinkle injections?+
They address different concerns. Fillers restore volume and contour, such as hollow cheeks or a flat chin, while anti-wrinkle injections relax the muscles that cause expression lines, such as frown lines. Many people benefit from a combination, and your physician recommends what suits your concern after an assessment.
