What Is E-Lift?
E-Lift is a combination protocol at Richmond Anti-Aging Clinic that pairs two BTL aesthetic technologies, Emface and Exion, in one treatment plan. It is sometimes searched as Eve Lift.
Facial aging involves several layers: muscle tone, structural support and skin quality. A single device often addresses only one of them. E-Lift plans treatments for both the muscle layer and the skin surface together, based on your assessment.
Muscle Layer
Emface uses HIFES (high-intensity facial electrical stimulation) to contract facial muscles.
Skin Layer
Exion combines radiofrequency and ultrasound to warm the skin for firmness and texture.
Combined Plan
Using the two together lets one plan address muscle tone and skin quality. Individual results vary.

How Does E-Lift Work?
E-Lift pairs a muscle-focused device with a skin-focused one, so one plan covers both structure and texture.
Muscle Toning (Emface)
Uses HIFES (high-intensity facial electrical stimulation) and synchronized radiofrequency to contract facial muscles while warming the tissue above them.
Skin Quality (EXION Face)
EXION Face uses monopolar radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound to heat the skin and encourage collagen remodelling. It is needle-free and not fractional.
Manufacturer Data
The manufacturer, BTL, reports changes in muscle tone and skin quality in its own studies. These figures do not predict your individual result.
Plan Set at Assessment
The order, settings and number of sessions are set by your clinician after assessing your face.

Physician-Led Assessment
Dr. Charles Jiang (29+ years of clinical experience) and the clinical team tailor the plan to your facial anatomy.
Needle-Free and Comfortable
Most people describe a warm sensation with gentle muscle contractions, a little like a hot stone massage. Numbing cream is generally not needed.
Little Downtime
Most people resume normal activities the same day. Temporary flushing is common and usually fades within a few hours.
One Combined Plan
Both treatments are planned together instead of as separate courses.

E-Lift Questions
What is E-Lift and how does it work?+
E-Lift is a combined plan using Emface, which tones facial muscles with electrical stimulation and radiofrequency, and EXION Face, which uses monopolar radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound to treat the skin. Neither uses needles. Emface works on the muscle layer and EXION Face on skin quality, so treating both together aims for lifting and better texture. It is sometimes searched as Eve Lift. Results vary.
Who is E-Lift suitable for?+
People with mild to moderate sagging, softer cheeks or jawline, or dull skin texture who want a non-surgical option. It is not a substitute for surgery. A clinician assesses your facial structure and goals first, and some people, such as those with a pacemaker or who are pregnant, should not have it. If you are unsure, the consultation is the place to ask.
Can I combine E-Lift with neuromodulator injections or fillers?+
Often, yes. Some people find that improved muscle tone and skin quality changes how much injectable treatment they want. We usually suggest scheduling E-Lift about 2 weeks after injections, so the product has settled before the muscles are stimulated. Your clinician will advise on timing and order, based on what you have had and where.
Is E-Lift painful?+
Most people describe a warm, tingling feeling and gentle muscle contractions, sometimes compared to a hot stone massage. Comfort varies, and the settings can be adjusted during the session if the heat or the contractions feel too strong. Numbing cream is generally not needed, and there are no needles, so there is nothing to recover from at the skin surface.
How many E-Lift sessions do I need?+
A series of 4 sessions about 5-10 days apart is commonly used. Your clinician sets the plan after assessment, taking into account your age, skin and goals, and may adjust the number as you go. Maintenance sessions may be suggested later, often reviewed a few months to a year after the series. Individual results vary.
Is there downtime after E-Lift?+
Most people resume normal activities the same day. Mild flushing for a few hours is common. Temporary swelling or tenderness is possible, and facial muscles can feel slightly tired, much like after exercise. Needles are not used, so there are no injection marks. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours and peels or acid-based skincare for about a week.
What does the E-Lift cost in Richmond, BC?+
Prices are not listed online. Cost depends on the number of sessions and your plan. Dr. Charles Jiang (29+ years of clinical experience) assesses you first and explains all costs before you commit. Book a consultation at our Richmond clinic.
Can I combine E-Lift with other treatments for better results?+
Yes, in some cases. Dr. Charles Jiang may suggest VISIA skin analysis before your first session to record a baseline, injectable treatments about 2 weeks beforehand where appropriate, or skin boosters or Sculptra after the series for hydration and collagen support. Some patients find combining treatments changes how much injectable treatment they want over time. A physician oversees every combination plan.
Is E-Lift available in Mandarin or Cantonese at your Richmond clinic?+
Yes. Dr. Charles Jiang and the team provide E-Lift consultations in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Note your language preference when booking. The clinic is at Unit 110, 5580 No. 3 Rd, Richmond, about a 3-minute walk from Lansdowne Station on the Canada Line (building parking is via Ackroyd Road), and we see patients from across Metro Vancouver. Open daily 09:00-18:00.
How long do E-Lift results last?+
It varies. Change builds gradually over the series and the roughly 3 months after it. Muscle tone and skin quality then fade slowly with age, so maintenance sessions are often suggested, commonly reviewed a few months to a year after the series. Age, skin condition and lifestyle all play a part. No fixed duration can be promised.
How long does an E-Lift visit take?+
The Emface part typically takes about 20 to 30 minutes for one or two areas, and the EXION Face part adds time depending on how many areas are treated. Your first visit also includes the assessment, so allow extra time. The clinic confirms the expected appointment length when you book, and you can return to your day afterwards.
Are there side effects or risks with E-Lift?+
Temporary redness, warmth, tenderness or mild swelling can occur, usually settling within hours, and facial muscles may feel briefly tired, much like after exercise. Less commonly, heat-related skin irritation is possible. Tell your clinician about implants, epilepsy, pregnancy and medical conditions before treatment, so the plan and settings can be adjusted or the treatment avoided.
