How We Used AI to Win Google and AI Answer Engines

The playbook we used to scale SEO, win GEO, and build an internal CRM — with our technology partner NextAgent.

Two years ago, "being findable" meant ranking on Google. Today it also means being the answer that ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews give when someone asks about anti-aging or a specific treatment. At Richmond Anti-Aging Clinic, we rebuilt our entire digital presence around that shift. Here is the playbook.

SEO and GEO Are Now Two Different Games

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) gets your pages into the ranked "blue links." Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) gets your expertise cited inside an AI-generated answer. They reward different things, and over the past year we deliberately optimized for both.

1. Content at a Velocity We Couldn't Hit by Hand

We built an AI-assisted content pipeline: draft, then medical and compliance review, then an automated quality score, then publish. Every article is scored for demonstrated experience, expertise, accuracy, and medical safety before it goes live. The AI does the heavy lifting; a human still signs off. That is how a physician-led clinic can publish deeply and consistently without ever cutting corners.

2. Structure So Machines Can Read Us

Answer engines quote what they can parse cleanly. So we invested in structured data (MedicalProcedure and FAQ schema), clean semantic HTML, and full English / Chinese parity across the site. Clear structure is quietly one of the biggest GEO advantages.

3. An On-Site AI Assistant Grounded in Our Knowledge

Instead of sending patients to the open internet, our on-site assistant answers questions from a vetted, clinic-owned knowledge base — accurate, on-brand, and it routes each question toward the right treatment and a consultation.

4. GEO: Engineering to Be the Cited Source

Being quoted by an AI engine is not luck. It comes from direct-answer formatting, consistent entity data (clinic name, address, physician credentials) across the web, and clearly-sourced claims — the trust signals models weigh when they decide whom to cite.

The CRM Behind the Curtain

None of this matters if the front desk can't act on it. So we also built an internal CRM layer that unifies each patient's history and automates thoughtful, well-timed follow-ups — the operational half of the same system.

Who Built It

We did not buy this off a shelf. We built it in-house with our technology partner, NextAgent, who designed the AI content, GEO, and CRM systems end to end.

The clinics that win the next few years will not be the ones with the biggest ad budget. They will be the ones whose expertise is easiest for both people and machines to find, trust, and act on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does AI write your medical content? AI drafts; our medical team reviews and signs off on every article for accuracy and compliance before it publishes. Nothing goes live unreviewed.

Is any of this a replacement for seeing a physician? No. Our content and AI assistant are educational. Treatment decisions are always made with our physician at a consultation.
